Maxtra Syrup
Composition: Each 5ml contains Phenylephrine Hydrochloride I.P. 5mg Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP 2mg.

Indications: Temporarily relieve the symptoms due to allergic rhinitis or other upper respiratory tract allergies, common cold or flu, adjunct with antimicrobial ahents in sinusitis, tonsillitis and otitis media.   

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the formulation, phaeochromocytoma, peripheral or mesenteric vascular thrombosis and premature or full-term neonates, taking MAO inhibitor or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. 

PRECAUTIONS: Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, high BP, diabetes mellitus, closed angle glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, prostatic enlargement.

Restlessness, anxiety, dizziness, precordial pain or discomfort, tremor, respiratory distress, pallor, hypertension, headache, seizures, cerebral hemorrhage, palpitation, paresthesia, or vomiting, severe peripheral and visceral vasoconstriction, abdominal pain with cramps, allergic reactions, anorexia, blurred vision, dry nose, dry throat, excitement, headache disorder, hyperhidrosis, impaired cognition, nervousness, nightmares, skin photosensitivity, skin rash etc.
