Floresp-OX is a combination nasal spray that combines the Fluticasone Furoate (an intranasal steroid) and Oxymetazoline (a nasal decongestant) for the relief of inflammation and nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis. Floresp-OX provides faster onset of action and long term control of nasal inflammation and symptoms. It reduces risk of rebound congestion associated with prolonged use of Oxymetazoline. Fluticasone Furoate in Floresp-OX prevents development of tachyphylaxis caused by Oxymetazoline. Floresp-OX offers convenience of combination therapy in single nasal spray. Floresp-OX is indicated in children more than 12 years age and the recommended dose is two spray actuations (27.5 mcg of Fluticasone and 50 mcg of Oxymetazoline per spray actuation) in each nostril once daily.
