It aims to prepare young leaders for future management roles by familiarising them with the ins and outs of an organisation.

Some common elements are: -

Orientation

Mentorship and Coaching

Special Projects and Assignments:

Cross-Functional Training and Assignments

On Job Training

Networking Opportunities

Trainees usually undergo rotational assignments across different departments or functions within the organization. This exposes them to various aspects of the Pharma Business, allowing them to gain a comprehensive understanding of how different departments operate and interact.

In January 2023, the management trainees from the marketing batch were assigned to different departments, including MIS, Medical, and Art & Design. This assignment aimed to provide them with a hands-on experience and help them understand the processes within these departments.

Mentorship and Guidance:

Senior leaders or Subject Matter Experts within the organization take the role of mentors for management trainees. These mentors are typically assigned based on their experience, expertise, and ability to provide valuable insights to trainees. Senior leaders often bring a wealth of knowledge and industry insights, making them desirable mentors for aspiring managers.

Management trainees often participate in various training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance their skills and knowledge like: -

Pharmaceutical Industry

Organisation Overview

Sales and Marketing Training

Compliance and Regulatory Training

Pharmaceutical Product Knowledge

Leadership and Management Skills

Pharma Summits and Conference

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Trainees are assigned cross-functional projects to work on, which require collaboration with employees from different departments. This helps them develop teamwork and collaboration skills while gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and challenges.

In the past, trainees have worked on various cross-functional projects. For instance, they were involved in sales data analysis, where they analyzed and interpreted sales data to identify trends and insights. Additionally, they also undertook molecule study projects, conducting in-depth research and analysis on specific molecules to understand their properties and potential applications. These cross-functional projects allowed trainees to gain valuable experience and develop a broader understanding of different aspects of the business.

These collaborations greatly contribute to the overall learning experience in several ways. Firstly, they help broaden the trainees' perspective, providing them with a holistic understanding of the business by working across different functions. Secondly, these collaborations facilitate knowledge transfer, allowing trainees to learn from experts in various fields and gain a diverse range of skills. Thirdly, they expose trainees to different workflows and processes, helping them understand the interdependencies between functions and how they work together to achieve organizational goals. Lastly, these collaborations provide an opportunity for trainees to build a network and relationships with professionals from different areas, which can be valuable for future collaborations, information sharing, and career growth
